Great undisturbed views...beautiful area with history that can't be erased no matter how much some want too.
I love everything about Fort Fisher! It is a great place for the entire family, including the dog. They have strict leash and waste laws, but it is a perfect place to take pets.
Very neat place to visit! Worth the trip!
It's a very impressive Monument for a site that is predominately taken over by the beach. 12 done somewhat remote not the most easy to find but once you get past the beach area and all the touristy areas it's a great place to relax walk and learn about the history of the area. The monument in the area around it or a good start to what was obviously the beginning of the other historical sites in the area. It is a shame more the Fort is not available due to wind and weather erosion but that goes with the territory it's in
